Our School

Stoneywood School opened in 1939. It is situated in the area of Stoneywood which is in the north of Aberdeen City between Dyce and Bucksburn.

The school provides 40 nursery places and broad general education for children from Nursery to Primary 7.

We have 8 Primary classes and 2 nursery sessions held across the main school building, our annex building and external class spaces.  The hall is a shared space, used for serving lunches, delivering Drama, P.E. and Music and providing additional sporting activities for pupils. Within the annex building there is access to an enclosed garden as well as the main school and playground.

The school grounds include a large grassy area with play equipment and surrounding tarmac which is used throughout the school day.

All members of Stoneywood School are provided with opportunities to develop leadership roles from the very earliest of ages.  Please see below our aims and expectations of and for those providing high quality leadership across the school.
